Watch our video for updates in the PRS

The Private Rented Sector (PRS) continues to generate many a conversation amongst landlords and agents.

The Government has set out new laws and proposals, which could change the way letting agents and landlords operate in 2016.

To keep you in the loop, our Head of Tenancy Deposit Protection, Daren King, talks through some of the key updates in the PRS, covering topics such as right to rent checks rolling out nationally, and taxation changes.

Are we sizzling or fizzling?

Towards the end of last year, we asked you to share your views about our service.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to fill in the survey. Your feedback has been invaluable to us as we develop improvements to our service, such as extending our opening hours to include Saturdays, and providing you with more information about changes in the PRS that affect you.

In April we’ll be running our next temperature check survey and we’ll be inviting you to respond once again with your feedback.

See what you had to say

Keeping our service standards high!

We’re not ones for resting on our laurels. There’s always room for improvement.

Every month we call some of our customers back to ask them a couple of simple questions about their experience with our Customer Service Team.

We’ve had some great feedback between November and January, with a combined average score of 9.3/10 for both the questions we asked.

The team take a lot of pride in keeping their standards so high and we’re keen to top those scores next time round.

Check out the results!

Our Charity Donations Fund

We're delighted to announce that the YMCA Glenrothes and Luton Accommodation and Move-On Project (LAMP) are the latest successful applicants to our charity fund.

YMCA Glenrothes will receive £15,000 towards renovating bedrooms in their hostel for the first time in 23 years, whilst LAMP receives £5,000 to provide rent support to homeless young people in Luton. Here's just a snippet of what both charities are about:

> LAMP - aims to provide advice and support for young people to develop independent living skills

YMCA Glenrothes - prides itself on being a 'safety-net' organisation for people in need

We've also been catching up with some of our successful applicants for the last year or so. Head over to our blog to find out how Chelmsford Homelessness (CHESS) has been making a difference with their donation.

Do you have what it takes to 'Be the adjudicator'?

‘Be the adjudicator’, our interactive case study, helps you understand how our adjudicators come to their decisions when a deposit is disputed.

On our website, you can access several interactive case studies that will help you understand how our adjudicators reach their decisions.

If you think you could match our experts, take up the challenge today and see if you have what it takes to ‘Be the adjudicator’!

Easter opening times

We’re normally open on Saturdays to make sure you’ve plenty of opportunity to talk to us if you need to.

But, in between the Easter bank holidays we’ll be closed to allow our team to enjoy a nice long weekend with their families.

Let’s hope the weather is fine and we all have a good Easter break.
